Finance with Shreem's Instagram Reels, broken down

Five Reels, 3.1 million views, and the one framed as an interview question did 12 times the one framed as a case study.

What this is

Finance with Shreem has 64,481 followers on Instagram, read from the most recent analysis. The account teaches accounting and Indian tax concepts in Hindi and English. Scrptly analysed the five best-performing Reels.

Five Reels. 3,058,229 views between them. Posted between 1 May and 3 June 2026.

Every opening is the transcribed audio, verbatim. Several mix Hindi and English, which is how the videos are taught.

  • “तुम्हारे interview में अगर कोई तुमसे पूछ ले differentiate between gross profit and net profit”

The stakes are in the first line, or they are not there at all

Her best reel opens by putting the viewer in a job interview being asked a question they may not be able to answer. It did 1,186,698 views. Her weakest opens "Day 44, 75" and names a tax case, and did 99,010.

Both teach a similar thing. The difference is that one opening tells you what it costs you not to know, and the other assumes you already care.

Even the greeting version outperformed the case numbering

"Hi guys, this is Finance with Shreem" is the kind of opening hook advice universally tells you to cut, and it still did 652,725 views, more than six times the case-study opening. A greeting costs you less than an opening that presumes prior context.

Consistent length, consistent teaching

These run 68 to 100 seconds, averaging 82, well above the 47.7 second median in our wider sample. Teaching a concept takes time and the account does not fight that.

By the numbers

Views per follower is the only row that compares fairly between accounts of different sizes.

Median length75 seconds47.7 seconds

The best reel here reached 18.4 views for every follower the account has, against the 3.0 we treat as an outlier floor. Across our wider sample 65 percent of Reels land below their account's follower count, and the largest accounts sit furthest below, so a mid-sized account clearing its own audience many times over is doing something scale alone does not buy.

What transfers

  1. Put the cost of not knowing in the first line. An interview question does that in eight words.
  2. Do not open on episode numbers or case names. They assume a context most viewers do not have.
  3. A greeting is a smaller cost than presumed context. Cut the presumption before you cut the hello.
  4. Teaching formats need length. These average 82 seconds and the shortest still beat a minute.

Comparison figures come from 2,572 Instagram Reels across 539 accounts analysed by Scrptly. Read 2026-10-14.
