A profile analyzer can only work from what Instagram makes public, and that is less than most of them imply
Exactly which signals are visible on an account you do not own, which are not, and how to get a real read from the ones that are. 2026-10-11.
The boundary, stated first
Every tool in this category works from the same public surface. The differences between them are in what they do with it, not in what they can see, and a tool implying otherwise is overselling.
| Signal | Visible? |
|---|---|
| Follower count | Yes |
| Views, likes and comments per post | Yes |
| Caption, audio, length, posting time | Yes |
| Completion rate and average watch time | No |
| Shares and saves | No |
| Reach against impressions | No |
| Audience demographics | No |
| Whether followers are real | No, only inferable |
What you can genuinely compute from the visible half
Quite a lot, as it turns out, because the one derived number that matters is available. Views divided by follower count is the only measure that compares fairly between a 5,000 and a 500,000 follower account. In our sample 490 of 2,512 Reels beat three times follower count, and 1,642 came in under it.
Benchmarks to judge a profile against
| Measure | Median |
|---|---|
| Views | 126,372 |
| Like rate | 3.11% |
| Comment rate | 0.071% |
| Length | 47.2 seconds |
| Share of Reels beating 3x follower count | 20% |
A method for reading any profile in ten minutes
- Record the follower count first. Everything downstream divides by it.
- Take the last 20 to 30 Reels, not the top three. The top three are survivorship bias.
- Compute views per follower for each, and take their median. That is the account's real baseline.
- Mark anything at three times that baseline. Those are the only ones worth studying.
- For those, write down what the first three seconds showed. This is the output; everything else was arithmetic.
- Compare like and comment rates to the medians above to see whether the audience is engaged or merely large.

Free tiers in this category are usually limited by how many profiles you can check, not by what they can see, because the ceiling is Instagram's and applies to everyone. If a paid tool claims to see past it, ask how.
Figures on this page come from 2,512 Instagram Reels across 530 accounts, analysed by Scrptly and deduplicated so no reel is counted twice. Read 2026-10-11.
