Free is genuinely enough for drafting, and never enough for deciding

What free actually gets you
More than people expect. A free script generator will give you structure, a serviceable opening, a beat-by-beat outline and as many variations as you have patience for. For getting off a blank page that is the whole job, and paying would not improve it much.
The limits of free tiers are usually volume, speed and length, not quality of prose. If drafting is your problem, free is a reasonable permanent answer.
Where it stops
It stops at the question of whether the thing is worth making. A generator of any price is predicting plausible text; it is not comparing your idea to anything that happened.
That gap is the expensive part. In our sample 1,635 of 2,499 Reels reached fewer people than the account had followers, and 298 of 526 accounts never produced a single reel beating three views per follower. A fluent script does not move you out of those majorities on its own.

A free workflow that is not naive
- Use the free generator for the draft. Do not pay to improve wording.
- Check the opening against the families that actually perform: avoid number-and-list, which has the worst clear rate of nine groups at 15.7 percent.
- Check the length. Anything under 15 seconds starts in the weakest band in the sample.
- Find one real reel in your niche that outperformed its own account, and compare your structure to it. This is the step that free generators cannot do and it costs nothing but attention.
- Only pay for volume when volume is genuinely the constraint.
